500 graduation

I'm down the the wire, 15 minutes left in the month of October to get the monthly blog post up!!  So, a quick status on where everything is!

Lentil

• We're now just passing 30 weeks... 9 weeks to go until he arrives!  Insanity.
  
• There's a big lovely ball of baby now in my abdomen.  He moves left and right, nudges me gently throughout the day to say "hey!", stretches his limbs and exercises a lot.  
• We like to play games together.  He's been involved in so many pitches and business discussions, he is going to be all ready to go for his first exit shortly (joke).  :)

Husband

• Doting husband has been down in SF almost weekly now, especially in the 3rd trimester to see that both mommy and son are taken care of.  It's amazing and feels so good to know he's just a plane hop away, or a matter of days away.   
• He has fun with all sorts of things right now - from reading Elon Musk's book, hovering in a loving way close by on our GiftStarter startup journey full of support left and right, and being @LuggageDonkey online.
• He is the bond in the family - taking care of all kinds of things, our home, our parents, logistics, ...  I can't name them all.  

GiftStarter

• We just finished out 16 weeks at 500 Startups.  I can't tell you how AWESOME the experience was --- if you have a startup and you're lucky to get accepted into the program, do it.  It was awesome awesome awesome.  
• We had our Demo Day yesterday, October 30th, at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View.  Overall, we feel that it was a success.  We had a lot of great interest - 35+ business cards collected, so the hustle is now to make contact as quickly as possible.
• Some great writeups across the interwebs.  The team is tired - and we continue to plow on.  I feel really good about our team - Joel, Tyler, Melissa, Valentine.  Really good.  Dae is a pseudo member who loyally, with undying support and energy does whatever in the world he can to help. 

Other

• Pregnancy means a lot of things...  generally for us, we've had a GREAT pregnancy.  No morning sickness, no food aversions.... the only thing... has been the INSANE SNORING.  It's so bad that people in the room next door have to wear ear plugs.  My husband wears ear plugs.  I keep myself up with my snoring.  I snore while awake.
• A lot of people are asking how it's possible to be close to 8 months pregnant, having completed an accelerator, pitched on a demo day and now fundraising.  It's possible --- we, me, all of us so believe in the team and GiftStarter.  I could not do all that we are doing without the team, the family support, my awesome husband, 500 Startups, our investors, our awesome advisors, ....  the team is making this all possible.

Next Steps

So.... there's more to come!  Really hoping to make it back home before Thanksgiving - the running internal joke right now is that I'm not to head back to Seattle nor get any turkey on Thanksgiving Day unless we finish and close our raise successfully.  Oy vey.  So....  That's the laser tight focus for us right now.
