rip AllThingsWishful

I miss you, AllThingsWishful --- what an interesting, crazy, exciting, schizo, manic and depressive, ingenius, clever, playful, fun, loving, spiteful, joyful, ... journey you were.  ....  to some of the best time and to some of the most frustrating times ever.

Hear, hear.  .... Oh dear AllThingsWishful.  My heart still aches when I think about you.  I miss you so much.  I miss you so much.

It all began many years ago.... On August 11, 2005, I contacted a post I saw on Craigslist from someone that was selling her Piaggio LT50 scooter.  Her name was Mina.  Often, we tell our friends, it was love at first Cosmo on the rocks.  We loved our transaction experience so much, we went out for drinks - and found that we both loved Chopin Cosmos on the rocks.  On the rocks!!!  (And then... Mina had her first Dick's burger on Broadway....)  ... several drinks and get togethers a few months later, we began trading notes on cool business startups. 

And then....  I had a personal crisis where an engagement got called off suddenly.  Lots of Destiny's Child, cocktail and retail therapy, Korean soap dramas with boxes of tissues and bottles of soju, a spontaneous purchase of my condo and very first car.... and two years working on the road with 100% travel to the Bay Area (Mina got a stint working as a Professor at Stanford in the meantime - so we got to meet up while I worked there 2006-2007).  Then Mina bought a house, and met her very sweet future husband.  I even attempted a previous startup (mobile phone) with a few friends in the meantime...  (this is where I learned - just DO it!  Months on a bplan just doesn't go anywhere.).  Mina got married later in 2008. 

Then...  one delightful day in December 2008, Mina and Arry joined forces officially as M.A.G., LLC., which stood for Mina Arry Gifts.  We went diving into the world of super-efficient-non-wasteful gifts with several product ideas, website ideas.....  .... which morphed into outsourcing research with our friends in China to packaging research and talks with Target... to working with freelance developers and offshore developers on our web product renamed WishfulWeds... and so on as you've heard the story several times... until it officially launched as AllThingsWishful.com in July 11, 2011.    ...  Such fond memories... 

I'm a little too sad about this to write anymore for now.  Apparently, I'm still mourning this baby...  Going to go for a walk.
